Can't receive notifications (UBox)

Solutions for not receiving notifications

  1. First, please check whether the issue is with notifications or with motion detection. You can confirm if motions are actually detected and recorded by checking the recordings in the app. Make sure to select the correct storage method and date when reviewing the recordings.

  2. Please check your phone's notification settings. Make sure that the UBox app is allowed to send notifications to your phone. This is the most likely reason for this problem.

  3. Please also check the bell icon in the UBox app. If there is a slash on the bell icon, the alarm function of this camera is turned off.

  4. The alarm notification needs your camera to have good internet access. You can put your camera closer to your router. If you can get the alarm only when the camera is closer to the router, it means that the Wi-Fi in the original place where you use the camera is not good enough.

    You can move your camera, bring your router closer, or set up a Wi-Fi repeater to improve the network connection.

  5. If you receive a notification at first but then no further alerts, it could be due to your phone’s restrictions. Some phones limit apps from sending too many notifications to avoid disturbing users.

    To fix this, you can clear all previous notifications or open the UBox app to reset the notification permissions. This will allow the app to send alerts normally again.
