Yoosee Wi-Fi Setup Troubleshooting (Yoosee app)
Yoosee Wi-Fi camera supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz private Wi-Fi networks. 5G Wi-Fi networks offer faster speeds, while 2.4G networks have a longer range.
Since the window camera is mounted on a window, it may be farther from your Wi-Fi router. If 5G Wi-Fi does not work during setup, try connecting to 2.4G Wi-Fi, which has a longer range and better signal through walls.
If you're experiencing difficulties adding your Yoosee Wi-Fi camera to the Yoosee app, please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
-
Check Wi-Fi Router's Settings.
Ensure your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is visible and not hidden. Confirm that DHCP is enabled on your router to allow automatic IP address assignment. Disable any guest network features that may restrict device communication.
-
Assess Internet Connectivity.
Verify that your Wi-Fi router has an active and stable internet connection. You can test this by connecting another device, such as a smartphone, to the network and browsing the internet.
-
Get a Stronger Signal.
Take the camera close to your Wi-Fi router during the setup process to ensure a strong signal and minimize potential interference. 2.4GHz Wi-Fi offers better coverage than 5GHz — use it for a more stable connection.
-
Check Camera Status.
Before starting the Wi-Fi setup, make sure the camera is in setup mode, indicated by slow repeated beeps.
If you do not hear the slow repeated beeps 1 minute after powering on, press and hold the reset button (on the bottom of the camera) for 5 seconds to reset the camera.
