The camera does have the purple problem. It use infrared light to provide night vision as most of security cameras.

The larger security cameras will use a IR-cut design to prevent the purple problem during the day. But, considering some of our customer might don't want this camera to be found by burglars, we need to take off the IR-cut design which will make a loud mechanical sound when switching between day and night.

Only the Ultraviolet will make the image show purple. If you can use the camera somewhere away from the sun light, the purple problem will not happen again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
