Yoosee 2.4G Wi-Fi Setup Troubleshooting (Yoosee app)
Some Yoosee cameras (such as P41/P41-S and Q41-S) only support 2.4 GHz private Wi-Fi networks. 5G Wi-Fi networks are not supported.
If you're experiencing difficulties adding your Yoosee Wi-Fi camera to the Yoosee app, please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
-
Check Your Wi-Fi Bandwidth.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi network supports 2.4 GHz. If not, you can enable or create a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network through your router’s admin settings.
Unsure how to set it up? Please check the example in the link below or contact your router provider for instructions.
-
Check Wi-Fi Router's Settings.
Ensure your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is visible and not hidden. Confirm that DHCP is enabled on your router to allow automatic IP address assignment. Disable any guest network features that may restrict device communication.
-
Assess Internet Connectivity.
Verify that your Wi-Fi router has an active and stable internet connection. You can test this by connecting another device, such as a smartphone, to the network and browsing the internet.
-
Get a Stronger Signal.
Take the camera close to your Wi-Fi router during the setup process to ensure a strong signal and minimize potential interference.
For areas far from your router, make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong enough. Use a Wi-Fi extender to improve coverage when your smartphone also has a weak signal there.
-
Check Camera Status.
Before starting the Wi-Fi setup, make sure the camera is in setup mode. After powering on, the camera will beep slowly and repeatedly, and the indicator light will flash red.
Reset the camera if you do not see the signs. Insert the reset pin into the reset hole “P” (under the bottom cover). Press and hold for 3 seconds until you hear a sharp beep.
