P41 Battery Issues Troubleshooting (Yoosee app)
The P41/P41-S camera only takes 5V DC charging power. Please use a certified 5V DC adapter, ideally with 1A output (1.5A and 2A also work).
In the Power Saving Mode (the default setting), the camera stays in sleep and saves power when no motion is detected. It will wake up automatically when motion is detected or when you open the live view in the app.
Watching live footage in the app will also drain the battery fast.
Battery draining too fast?
-
Check if the camera is in Power Saving Mode.
High Performance Mode keeps the camera continuously active. It is only available under Working Modes when the camera is nearly fully charged and remains charging.

-
Aim the camera at areas where important motion occurs. Avoid unnecessary motion detection recordings, as they consume more power.
-
Turn on Person Detected and turn off Motion Detected to focus on people and ignore other motion. This helps reduce unnecessary alerts, recordings, and power consumption. You can find these options in Smart Detection.

-
Ensure your camera has a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection. A poor connection can cause the camera to repeatedly reconnect when offline, significantly increasing power consumption.
-
Use a solar panel if the installation area has good sunlight. The solar panel is not included by default. It is only included if selected when placing your order. Contact us if you need a solar panel.
-
Keep the camera plugged in if you need to record frequent activities or access it frequently in the app.
-
Some lab test data for reference:
• If there are about 10 motion detection events (10s each) per day and 10 app accesses (1 minute each), the camera will last 30 days or more.
• If there’s no motion detected and no app access at all, the camera can last over 6 months on a full charge.
Camera won’t charge?
-
Make sure you are using a certified 5V DC (preferably 1A) adapter and the cable that came with the camera.
-
Check that the camera’s charging port is clean, free of dust/debris, and not damaged.
-
Try a different power outlet, then a different 5V DC adapter, and finally a different USB cable to rule out power issues.
-
A full charge typically takes about 8 hours. If the camera has been fully drained for a long time, charging may take much longer than usual.
Please contact online customer support in the Yoosee app if the problem persists.
